Define the target device, controller, supplies, voltage levels, timing and cable length for I2C interface-board acceptance. Test normal access, error responses and recovery. Register access does not establish measurement accuracy, system safety or environmental qualification. This is a delivery-method guide, not a new project delivery announcement.
Inputs for review
Provide device documentation, address notation, register revision, controller interface, inter-board connection, levels and pull-up conditions. Clarify whether an address is seven-bit or already includes a read/write bit. The NXP I2C specification is a reference for bus mechanisms; confirm device operations against its documentation and target hardware.
Deliverable and acceptance matrix
| Deliverable | Suggested verification | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Schematic and connection table | Supplies, levels, pins, address and pull-ups match | Revisioned drawings, wiring and inspection records |
| Register table and driver | Target register access, configuration readback and parsing | Inputs, returned values and logic-analysis records |
| Error handling | Agreed responses to no acknowledgement, timeouts and incomplete transfers | Trigger method, error codes, logs and application feedback |
| Recovery path | Explain state after disconnection, restart or agreed recovery | Permitted steps, measured recovery time and remaining state |
| Prototype and documentation | Match prototype revision, build instructions, interfaces and untested items | Delivery index, versions/hashes and acceptance items |
Defining an initial phase
Review connections and pull-up conditions first, then create reproducible access and failure cases for one target sensor. Agree thresholds, error responses, recovery policy and safe operating conditions. Treat measurement accuracy, calibration, sustained operation, EMC and certification as separate work and evidence where required.
Existing project references
The published IMX585 circuit-board project record in Chinese covers sensor control and board interfaces. The published underwater vehicle interface-board project record in Chinese distinguishes system interfaces from the battery's internal battery management system (BMS). Neither establishes delivery of this I2C package. Supply target-device and receiver requirements through the original Chinese hardware development service before defining scope, fees and acceptance.
