To integrate an enterprise knowledge base, connect source revisions, parsed passages, user authorization and citation locations before adding generated answers. Server-side authorization should govern search filters, source previews, downloads and answer context. Successful ingestion does not establish access control or answer quality.

Beijing Winge Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the Winge brand, provides document processing, knowledge retrieval and application interface development. Scope, deployment and delivery for US companies are agreed in project documents. The following is implementation guidance, not test results from a US project.

Define documents, identities and deployment inputs

Provide authorized document samples, formats and volume, the share of English or multilingual content, scanned pages and complex tables, plus encrypted, damaged and duplicate files. Record origins, revisions and responsibility for updates and deletion; prepare reference locations in the originals.

Provide the identity system and roles, a user–document–operation permission matrix, storage and external processing locations, deployment components and licenses. A fixed question set should cover answerable, unanswerable, conflicting and unauthorized requests. Agree acceptance criteria and synchronization deadlines before testing.

Six interface contracts

These are proposed contract fields and checks, not a universal API of an existing product or measured results.

Stage Fields to pass or record Interface check
Source ingestion doc_id, revision, file SHA256, processing status Keep distinct revisions for same-name files; trace and retry failed jobs.
Parsing and chunking chunk_id, doc_id/revision, page or region locator, parser version Check reading order, tables and locations against originals; state any fallback when coordinates are absent.
Identity and authorization User identity, document scope, policy_version Obtain identity from a trusted server-side source; deny access without authorization or an available policy.
Retrieval and caching trace_id, authorized scope, index version, cache key Constrain scope before retrieval; retest old caches and direct APIs after revocation.
Citation resolution citation_id, chunk_id, source revision and locator Authorize again when opening a citation; never silently resolve an old citation to new text.
Answer output trace_id, authorized passages, citation set, model version Align answers with actual evidence; return the agreed no-answer response when evidence is absent.

First-stage delivery and exception tests

Limit the first stage to one document collection and a set of roles. Implement ingestion, parsing, retrieval and source navigation, then test updates, deletion and revocation during an active request. Check search results, source APIs, caches and answer context separately. Specify when revocation takes effect and how in-flight requests are handled.

Deliver the agreed code or deployment package, field definitions, version inventory, permission matrix, test cases, request traces and known limitations. Record allow/deny results and timestamps; similarity is not accuracy. Confirm OCR, model, storage, identity-system changes, document preparation and maintenance costs separately.

Collaboration inputs from US teams

US teams should specify deployment locations, permitted data sharing, external model or OCR data flows, working language, time zones and remote access. Confirm contracts, document licenses and on-site support separately. This guide makes no determination about US legal applicability or data residency.

Common questions

Does a vector-search filter complete access control?

No. Filter fields do not establish caller identity or replace authorization for previews, downloads and other APIs. Request APIs directly using a low-privilege account; test missing permission, revocation and authorization-service failure.

What happens to old citations after a document update?

Bind citations to a specific source revision and location. Retain authorized historical versions or return an explicit expiration response, as agreed. Do not substitute new text for old evidence. Historical access must still use current permissions.

Does successful source retrieval establish answer quality?

No. If generated answers are included, separately test citation support, conflicting evidence, no-answer behavior and whether unauthorized passages enter the context. Record results against a fixed question set and a human reference; do not assume a fixed accuracy rate.

Related services and technical references

The knowledge retrieval and permissions service covers document applications; the local knowledge base procurement guide supports purchasing inputs. Both are Chinese-language references.

The Zhiyu local knowledge base case, in Chinese, describes document processing, source retrieval and member permissions. It does not establish US project experience, English-corpus quality or performance at arbitrary scale.

Microsoft's security filter documentation and layout analysis documentation are English technical references. Validate components against project versions and samples.

Prepare redacted samples, a permission matrix, questions and a deployment inventory, then contact Winge to define the first-stage scope and acceptance criteria.
